At approximately 16:10 today, the North Mole Power Station experienced an interruption to its gas supply from the Shell LNG terminal, thus resulting in two of the engines that were operational at the time, shutting down. As a consequence, several areas suffered a power outage.
Upon Shell correcting the fault, the GEA restarted its generating capacity and subsequently commenced the process of restoring power ten minutes into the power outage to those customers affected.
By 16:38, all those customers affected had had their power restored.
