The Chief Minister, the Hon Fabian Picardo, has written to the Mayor of Tarifa to offer the support and solidarity of the people of Gibraltar in fighting the fire in the Tarifa area.
The Chief Minister has offered the assistance of the Gibraltar Fire and Rescue Service in dealing with this incident, should it become necessary.
The Chief Minister, the Hon Fabian Picardo KC MP, said: ‘The whole of the Tarifa area is much loved by the people of Gibraltar for its beaches, its mountains and its biodiversity. At this challenging time, Gibraltar extends its thoughts to those fighting the fire, and stands ready to support the Mayor and people of Tarifa in any way that we may be able to.’
