The Opposition notes the appointment announced today of Mr Clive Golt as the Government’s new Media Director. Commenting on the appointment, Shadow Minister for the Media, Fabian Picardo, said:

“We wish Mr Golt well in his new appointment and very much look forward to working with him after the next election if the people of Gibraltar entrust us with Government. Gibraltar must harness all its talents in the defence and exploitation of our common interests, irrespective of party political differences between us. It has therefore been a pity to see Clive Golt ostracised for the better part of fifteen years. In fact, I have raised this specific issue with Mr Caruana in Parliament in the past. Clive is a journalist of considerable experience and it has been a waste of his talent that he has not been able to fully and effectively discharging his profession for the past fifteen years.”
